American Roadtrip

Just a few initial images that I've put together. Off to Bali tomorrow then on to NY...

Eyjafjallajoekull from the air

When I flew out to the US last month it was not long after the eruption of Eyjafjallajoekull, long enough thankfully for the ash cloud to have stopped grounding flights. We ended up flying 80K north of the Volcano and I managed to snap a quick shot out the window, volcano is in the top left (see the pic with arrow if you can't spot it!)

Mamiya 7 vs Canon 5D mkII again...

Mamiya 7 on Kodak 400NC (top) and Canon 5D mkII below. Again this is not a scientific comparison just happened to snap a shot on both when I was down in Devon a few months back.

One from the archives...

I was watching 40D the other day in the background whilst doing some editing, and I started watching a programme called 'School of Comedy'- a sketch show with cast of children/teenagers performing adult comedy. I suddenly realised that two of the kids in it I'd photographed back in 2007, Arthur Sturridge and Beth Rylance (above). Was nice to see that they're now on the big screen. At the time they were doing a show called 'Billy Billy Bum Breath' - and one of the writers of that, Lura Lawson, now produces School of Comedy. Was nice to see they're doing so well - shame I didn't grab on to their coat tails at the time. Anyway - check out the show here

Back from the USA...

Well, I'm back from my month on the road in the USA, below is a map of 3,811 miles we covered. Shot a lot of 120 and 35mm film, so I've lots of scanning to do. I've got a crazy week ahead and then on the road again but I'll try and post up some new images soon because it's been too quiet on this here blog!
