New work: Las Vegas

Towards the end of last year I traveled with the photographer Adam Patterson to America to work on a new collaborative project in Las Vegas. It was quite an experiment as neither of us has ever worked alongside another photographer in such a way before. It went surprisingly well. Since returning it is clear that such formula has proved difficult for others to understand. Two photographers + one camera = one image. It seems simple enough but it's quite unusual in the photography world. Nevertheless we feel like we've created a really interesting portrait led story. The subject's own stories tell the wider picture of Las Vegas and in doing so they also they tell story of America today.

We've recently packaged this up as a PDF and are currently looking for a few publishing avenues - please get in touch if your interested in seeing more.

Big Sur

I miss that view. Big Sur, 2011

Mobile home

The shot below reminded me of this shot that I snapped out Highway 1 last year whilst driving south through Big Sur - what an awesome conversion. It was basically an old school bus with two top-halves from VW camper vans attached to the roof to make sleeping compartments. Plus it was towing an SUV. Good effort.

Isle of Wight

A shot from a recent job I had over on the Isle of Wight a few weeks back - one lucky afternoon of sun before the snows came in.

Recent Tearsheet: HUCK magazine

Some tearsheets for an article you can find in this month's HUCK magazine. Myself and the writer Rob Boffard were assigned to cover an aspect of London's MC culture and subsequently I photographed a rap battle run by Don't Flop in Camden. Pretty interesting event to witness, certainly challenged a few of my assumptions on the whole scene.

Back to the darkroom

Been back in the darkroom recently relearning old skills - hopefully I'll have some fruits of this labour to share soon.
