These shots were taken not long ago when some of my housemates dressed up to go to a fancy dress party. I have to respect them because they sat on a night bus half way through South London dressed like this. Then again I personally have always found clowns quite disturbing. The fact that as a small child my older brother read extracts from Steven King's IT to me, probably didn't help matters. Still there is something quite interesting in the concept of wearing a mask which probably exposes more than it covers; in the sense that it becomes to symbolise something on the inside. Regardless of whether or not this is the case I still find these pictures rather unsettling!
