Air raid in Kyrat Shmona

This was from a series of shots I took whilst running for cover in Kyrat Shmona. On that day they had about 200 or so Katyushas (which are the nasty russian made missiles full of ball bearings) rain down on a town smaller than Wimborne (i.e not too big!). On the same a Katyusha landed in a Kibbutz just up the road killing ten reservist soldiers who were sunbathing. As you can imagine its kind of nice to be back in the relative safety of Tel Aviv.

Dude, why didn't I get a "Wish you were here" postcard? I'm sitting in an office getting bored whilst you're playing dodge with Katyusha rockets.

Stay safe and keep the pictures coming.

Glad to see that you are finally able to get your awesome photos onto your blogsheet and put your war-studies into practice.
As your colleague says 'stay safe' and keep up with the photos.

Haha i love the person that said you're putting war-studies into practice! I reckon you're the only person to do so!!! Who else is in the middle of all the action, dodging rockets and running for cover!!!

Loving the pictures, can't wait to see more! And yes, stay safe!!! XXXXXXXXX

Greg, its great you have some photos up now, that being the reason you are there in the first place. But I'm sorry to feel angry at the whole thing. All this for a few photos, but I guess photos are your life

Yea the situation is just one big mess it has to be said-if anything being over here has confused things because you can begin to see Israeli arguments coming through (rather than just pure outrage at what they're doing). But still there view of the world scares me, and it looks like they're prepared to drag everyone under with them! Most of them view this as the beginning of the end and the final showdown between Islam and the West...something that seemed absurd when I was in the UK, but seeing how determined they are and the situation over here - its beginning to seriously worry me.
